- THINGS I ALWAYS REACH BACK TO -
Hello lovely people, I hope you’re all well! Today I wanted to talk a bit more about some key pieces in my wardrobe that I couldn’t live without and if you do, I don’t know how you manage it!
As you probably already know – if not, what are you doing? – at the start of the year I decided to give the capsule wardrobe a go. And whilst I am still figuring out how to get the most out of a small range of clothes, I am starting to get really into it. Some days I wish I had more clothes that are a bit ‘funkier’ but then I wouldn’t wear them often enough. I have some pieces I can’t live without and I think that everybody should have them – or some kind of variation – in their wardrobe.
Plain T-Shirts – Who doesn’t like wearing a white tee? I don’t know anyone who doesn’t enjoy putting on this simple versatile piece and call it an outfit. Nothing easier and in my opinion nothing better.
A Blazer – I remember seeing my mom wearing blazers pretty much every day and thinking how boring. I think I inherited her love for them. You immediately look put together and you can easily dress it down or up. It just guarantees and effortless but but chic outfit.
Good Denim – Straight jeans are probably my go to. They are the most important piece in a wardrobe in my opinion. A different fit, a different wash and you have a whole new outfit. Wear it with heels for a casual night out or trainers for a day on the go. Jeans with a tee and blazer on top, voilà, you’re good to go!
A White Shirt – A shirt – especially a white one – is essential. I always feel more confident when wearing one and think that it looks so neat. COS always has great ones with so much details, longer cuffs, wider sleeves, a different collar. If you don’t have a white shirt already this should be your first buy.
These are my 5 go-to pieces that everyone should own. They don’t have to be expensive but make your whole outfit look more put-together. I also love a good midi skirt or summer dress and think that they are also essential especially for summer, but that’s another topic. What are your go-to pieces that you wear on repeat?
