Can you believe we’re already halfway through the year?! Time flies… I feel like January was just two weeks ago. Six months into 2019, I grabbed my diary (I love this one) and checked in where I am at with my yearly goals. My focus was definitely more on some of them and I have already achieved a few things.
My biggest personal achievement is that I can finally touch my toes, which I have never been able to do before. The weekly yoga practices have definitely helped me mentally but also to get a bit more flexible.
I have also started the Couch To 5K challenge now that it got warmer. My goal was to run 10K at the end of the year, I don’t know if it’s a tad too optimistic as I am not quite there yet. I think that even 5K would be a great achievement.
I abandoned the idea of learning Dutch. Maybe one day but for the moment it’s not my main focus. With three languages I am already struggling to stick to only one, making my own language by mixing up the words.
My reading goal is going great though. I am really into it again now that I don’t have to read so many books for classes. There’s nothing better than finding a really good book that you can’t put down. Lately, I’ve been reading some good ones like Lullaby, Daisy Jones And The Six and The Tattooist Of Auschwitz. I also have my summer reading list ready.
I think I am doing quite a good job at being more sustainable. Sure I could do better but I have bought fewer clothes and with the capsule wardrobe I am really thinking whether I would need that new dress or not. As for food, I am trying to get package free stuff whenever it’s possible. I always carry my KeepCup and haven’t had a takeaway cup once since the beginning of the year.
