– Things I Have Spotted Recently –
I am looking for a good transitional jacket – or shacket? I really want something a bit boxy. Like a workwear jacket or a large leather jacket, not the kind of fitted biker jacket. My friend Melissa has the most amazing one and I will be forever jealous of it.
I have found a couple that I really like, as well as a black oversized blazer that is still missing in my wardrobe. I love shackets styled with cowboy style boots or trainers and they are perfect for that tricky transitional season.
I have never really been into very dark denim. I changed my mind, I now think it looks super cool. It’s the perfect a/w piece in my opinion. So retro too but with a modern twist. Does that make sense? I don’t know, the only thing that I know for sure is that one or two pieces – double denim you know – will make their way into my wardrobe.
I love it with white canvas trainers and white socks or even with DMs it could look amazing. Just wondering why it took me so long to discover that I like dark denim.
Can we just take a moment and appreciate the new Lucy Williams Missoma Collection 1987?!
I am a huge huge fan of all her collections so far and if I had the money, I would own every single piece that she has designed. So to avoid eating just beans on toast for the next year, I have made a ‘little’ selection of the pieces I really want to get my hands on from the 1987 collection.
Frilly, voluminous sleeves, big collars,… I love all the statement blouses and shirts that are currently around. Zara has a good selection with a few I really like.
I love the collars of these two, especially under an oversized knit when it gets colder. It immediately elevates the whole outfit by poking out at the neck
Maybe this season I want to invest in one or two pieces that are a bit more pricy (hello Ganni and Acne) but from what I have seen on the high street recently, there are some really good pieces.
Last but not least, knitwear. I love a good chunky knit but always struggle to find one I like. Can’t be too itchy, not too big, not too fitted,… The list goes on. I definitely always rely on Uniqlo, they do the best basics for a really good price. Arket, Stories and COS always nail it too.
Also, I love oversized cardigans. Combined with a thin turtleneck and cool trousers, I think that they look so effortless. Layer a few necklaces and some chunky gold earrings and you’re good to go.
I know there’s a lot and I am definitely not getting all of it – who even am I?- but it’s just some inspo and something I can come back to to see what I still want in my wardrobe for the colder months ahead. What is on your wishlist?
