- HELLO SWITZERLAND -
FOOD And Drinks
Le Pointu – This one is probably my favourite one. The interior is really London inspired and the whole vibe is great. The people working there are amazing and the food delicious. They have an amazing brunch on weekends but you have to make sure to have a reservation.
L’Atelier – A home away from home. Wether you want a little breakfast, a lunch tartine, an afternoon lemonade or an evening drink, there is something for every hour of the day and you will immediately feel welcome. In summer you can spend time reading in the little back garden. The perfect spot if you want to combine some art and local, fresh food.
Brasserie De Montbenon – A brasserie with an amazing view. In summer you can sit on the terrace and enjoy the view on the lake whilst eating a local and seasonal brasserie-kind of meal.
Les Grandes Roches – An outdoor terrace with great vibes. Go there on a warm day and have a drink with friends on a terrace in the middle of the city.
Ca Passe Crème – A small space for amazing coffee and chai. This café is probably THE specialty coffee spot in Lausanne. The guys working there are so passionate and welcoming, spreading their knowledge about coffee.
Aegon + Aegon – A shop carrying pretty much everything, things you need and things you just find beautiful – so things you need too! Interior meets fashion in a beautiful shop.
To Do/ Museums
Olympic Museum – as Lausanne is the Olympic capital, they are also really proud of this museum. I am not a huge Olympics fan but really like this museum which is probably a must when you visit Lausanne. Combine it with a walk by the lake.
Musée de L’Elysée – I love this museum, there are always great photography exhibitions and it is a nice way to spend a Sunday when nothing else is open.
MUDAC – A contemporary and applied arts museum, carrying great exhibitions.
Cathedral and old city – The cathedral dominates the city, it is really beautiful and I think that the view from the old city is worth climbing up a few stairs.
